You're moving to the gorgeous shores of Virginia! Are you ready to settle in? If you're moving to Virginia Beach in time for the warm weather, you'll love checking out some of the area's spring festivals. Here, we've gathered a few fun festivals you'll want to visit as soon as the weather begins to heat up.

1. Virginia Beach Spring Craft Market—April 21-23, 2023 Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St., Virginia Beach, VA

Spend your weekend checking out all that crafters in Virginia Beach have to offer at this beloved yearly event. With door prizes, countless exhibits, and specialty foods, you'll love spending hours browsing the aisles and chatting with artists about their craft. In addition, theme park designer and decorator Anthony Turner will offer workshops in the Center's Garden Theater to give you the information you need to refresh your home before summer hits.

2. Something in the Water 2023—April 28-30, 2023 —1700 Atlantic Ave., Virginia Beach, VA

This three-day music festival is the perfect way for you and your family to get out and celebrate the return of warm weather at the beach. Created by music industry phenom and Virginia Beach native Pharrell Williams, the yearly festival has grown year after year. Something in the Water works to celebrate artists and show off all that the Virginia Beach community has to offer, from the area's diversity to the unique offerings of small businesses. Check the festival's website regularly to stay on top of the lineup you can expect to enjoy this year. While you'll likely show up for the live music, leave plenty of time to check out the art and food too.

3. Atlantic Coast Kite Festival—May6-7, 2023, between 16th and 18th Streets, Virginia Beach, VA

Every spring, kite enthusiasts of all ages converge on the oceanfront for a colorful, family-friendly kite festival. Enjoy spectacular views of the sky covered with giant kites that local professionals and guests fly from all over the East Coast.

In addition, kite-building workshops are open to families with instructions on how to build a kite and lessons about aerodynamics and kite flying safety.

American Kite Association members will perform stunning air shows to music with their giant kites (some 80 feet long). Kite vendors will also be present to sell a variety of kites.
